Cousin Wendy's Gefilte Fish Doctor Recipe

This recipe is from my cousin Wendy. I wish there was a story behind it but I don't know of one. It's just intended to add flavor to the usually tasteless gefilte fish you get in a jar.

Buy a jar of Gefilte fish in jellied broth

Take the Fish out of the jar and put them to the side

Put the Jellied broth into a pot.

Add to the pot: chopped onions, lots of garlic powder, salt, pepper, paprika, one Knorr Bullion cube (vegetable or fish). The point is to add flavor to the broth so taste as you go along to get the flavor you want.

Bring the pot to boil and then let it simmer, 15 to 30 minutes.

Place the fish in a baking dish and pour the broth on top.

If you want grate some carrots and sprinkle on top for color. Cover with tin foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 an hour. Take the tin foil off and bake for another 15 minutes or until brown on top.

Let cool before serving. Follow with matzoh ball soup. Yum!
